“If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything.” Timeless proverb made famous by many people including Malcolm X.
I use my paintbrush (and other art mediums) to bring awareness of the threat of extinction the Southern Resident Killer Whales are currently facing. I’m making my voice heard!
Ready for your voice to be heard? Your voice matters!
The Southern Resident Killer Whales (SRKW) are endangered and only have a population of 74 members (2026) living along the Pacific Northwest. Interested in protecting them from extinction? Here are some options:
Option 1: Have your say in the The Tilbury Phase 2 LNG Expansion project. This project will increase tanker traffic on the coast of British Columbia, impacting the Salish Sea and vessel noise. Southern Resident Killer Whales rely on echolocation to find the salmon they feed on. Traffic pollution is negatively contributing to SRKW hunting abilities.
Click on this LINK and follow these steps:
- Once you click the LINK, scroll to the bottom and click “share your thoughts” button
- Enter your email, click the link in the email you receive
- Fill out the form expressing your opinion (how do you feel about increased tanker traffic and ocean noise etc… how will this impact the SRKW)
- SUBMIT at the end of the form
Option 2: Visit Eco Justice Canada’s largest environmental law charity, using the lower of law to:
- Fight for a healthy environment for all
- Defend nature
- Combat the climate crisis
